This 1978 Ducati 900SS is powered by a square-case 864cc L-twin paired with a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes pod air filters, chrome Conti mufflers, clamp-mount Napoleon mirrors, and triple disc brakes with Brembo calipers as well as a black vinyl-upholstered solo seat, a cafe-style tail section with a storage compartment, and a wrap-around fairing with a tinted windscreen. The bike is said to have remained with its original owner until it was acquired in 2000 by its current owner, who has kept it in storage since 2010. This 900SS is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Illinois title.
Wire-spoke 18″ wheels were mounted with Bridgestone Battlax BT45 tires in preparation for the sale. Suspension consists of a conventional fork as well as dual Öhlins piggyback shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is from Brembo calipers mounted over dual cross-drilled rotors up front along with a single rotor at the rear.
