OVERVIEW
The Lancia Stratos HF, launched at the 1971 Turin Motor Show, is a legendary rally car that set new standards in motorsport. Designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone, the Stratos features a distinctive wedge shape and a wraparound windshield, making it instantly recognizable. Powered by a 2,418cc Ferrari Dino V6 engine producing 190 bhp, the Stratos was built for speed and agility, dominating the World Rally Championship with its impressive performance. HISTORY
Chassis 1746 is one of just 492 examples built between 1974 and 1975. This particular example finished production in November of 1975. Finished in a Red-Orange with a Havana Alcantara interior, it was delivered new to its first owner in Solothurn, Switzerland via Automobiles Lancia Geneve in May of 1976. It was then sold to noted Lancia Stratos specialist, Thomas Popper in 1984 with around 1,000kms. Mr. Popper would own this remarkable example until the current owner's acquisition in 2013.
