"Save for some grainy period promotional footage, a fleeting appearance in the raunchy 1960s Italian flick That Splendid November, and, more recently, a number of showings on the concours d’elegance scene, these cars just aren’t seen in public. But its elusiveness is all part of the appeal. No heart could fail to stir at the sight of a Tipo 33 Stradale, and it’s as simple as that." Classic Driver, March 2017

Chassis ‘104’ spent its early years in Italy where it was registered ‘VI 500033’, remaining there until sold in 1984 by collector Pietro Brigato to Kiyoshi Takihana in Japan. Remaining in Europe until 1984, it was then sold by collector Pietro Brigato to Kiyoshi Takihana in Japan. It returned to Europe in the late 1980s and entered the ownership of pioneering collector, and Nurburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix founder, Count Hubertus von Donhoff, who recalls that another Japanese collector arrived in the middle of winter determined to buy it after the previous Japanese owner refused to sell it to him.
From 1990 until 2004 the car remained in Japan until being acquired by a leading American collector who immediately commissioned a comprehensive restoration, leading to a Best in Class award at Pebble Beach in 2006. The car then returned back to Europe and was owned by a prominent European Collector where it was shown at the 2011 Villa d'Este where it was awarded Best of Show and Best in Class. The car was then sold to its current U.S. owner in 2013 and shown in 2015 at The Quail, A Motorsports Event where it was awarded the highly sought after Best of Show award. Known to be one of just two Tipo 33 Stradale's in the United States, this is a very rare opportunity to own one of the best examples in existence.
